We were very pleased to be able to work with Jacob this year!
๐ AMBASSADOR SPOTLIGHT ๐
Meet Jacob DeRose ๐ He is the Watershed Ambassador for Watershed Management Area 15, serving the Great Egg Harbor Watersheds. Jacob is hosted by the ACUA - Atlantic County Utilities Authority ๐ง
๐ฌ What does being a Watershed Ambassador & AmeriCorps member mean to Jacob?
"Being a Watershed Ambassador means being able to connect with both your local area and New Jersey as a whole. I've been able to learn so much about my local environment and make a difference within places I've grown up near my whole life. I've also been able to see so many new places within New Jersey and make new friends with people from all across the state.
Being an AmeriCorps member means being responsible to help make a difference whenever you can. I am grateful for being able to help in times of need, such as assisting with CFBNJ to give out food."
๐ฑ Biggest achievement so far?
"Having someone attend a community cleanup through a flyer I created and want to be involved in more future events. I'm very happy to help encourage others to help make their local environment a better place."
โญ Favorite memory?
โSeeing the Statue of Liberty for the first time at Liberty State Park.โ
๐ธ Whatโs Jacob most excited for?
"Doing more partner projects. I am excited to meet more people and be outside with my local community."
