FLORIDA WOMAN, 26, ARRESTED AFTER ALLEGEDLY FILLING HER EX-BOYFRIEND’S TRUCK WITH 800 POUNDS OF RAW SHRIMP AND LEAVING IT IN THE SUN FOR FOUR DAYS

DAYTONA BEACH, FL — A Florida woman is going viral after police say she carried out what officers are calling “one of the most aggressively disgusting breakup revenge plots” they’ve ever seen.

According to investigators, 26-year-old Madison Keller allegedly spent nearly $4,200 on bulk shrimp from multiple seafood suppliers before dumping hundreds of pounds of raw shrimp into the bed and interior vents of her ex-boyfriend’s lifted Ford F-250.

Police reports claim the truck was then parked outside his apartment complex during a week of 96-degree Florida heat.

Neighbors say the smell became so unbearable residents thought “something had died inside the building.”

One witness told deputies:
“It smelled like Satan opened a seafood buffet.”

According to authorities:

* flies reportedly covered the vehicle within 24 hours
* nearby residents filed multiple odor complaints
* and one DoorDash driver allegedly vomited while delivering food nearby

The ex-boyfriend reportedly discovered the truck after returning from a fishing trip and initially believed a sewage pipe had exploded.

Investigators say Madison allegedly admitted she was “trying to teach him a lesson” after finding out he had started dating a coworker less than two weeks after their breakup.

Police also claim officers found Google searches on her phone including:

* “how long before shrimp smell never leaves”
* “can truck seats be saved from seafood”
* and “is emotional damage a legal defense”

Social media exploded after photos of the shrimp-covered truck leaked online.

“One of the nastiest revenge plans ever documented,” one comment read.

Another wrote:
“Florida relationships need federal supervision.”

Authorities confirmed the truck was declared a total loss due to permanent odor contamination.

Today in Fernandina Beach, I was proud to announce that the federal government has approved our request for an Exempted Fishing Permit, which will allow Florida to lead the way on Atlantic red snapper management. Last year, the federal government only permitted 2 days for recreational snapper fishing in the Atlantic.

Today, we are implementing a 39-day, two-phase Atlantic red snapper recreational season for Florida anglers. The Summer Season begins on May 22 to kick off Memorial Day weekend and continues through June, and the Fall Season will run on 3-day weekends in October.

Even as activists and bureaucrats try to stall this season, we will hold the line and stand up for our anglers’ right to fish. At the end of the day, no one understands Florida’s waters better than the people who fish them.

In the 1850’s New England fisherman realized the mouth of the St. Johns River was teeming with fish that relied on fresh water for feeding and spawning. Fish like shad, mullet, and alewives were caught with nets by the tons. But by the 1900’s fewer and fewer fish were caught, many fisherman blaming the unrestricted use of gill-nets and the increasing presence of steamboats in the river.

As the fish dwindled, a new opportunity arose with sh*****ng in the 1920s. The arrival of experienced Portuguese fishing families, like the Rolands and the Perrys, began the 100 year history of sh*****ng at Mayport.

By the 1950s, shrimp docks dominated the horizon of Mayport. Local men like Johnny Vona, B***y Singleton, Mathias “Matt” Roland, Mr. Parnell, Manuel Jesus, Jesse Perry, and A.J. Ruffin were the backbone of the industry. Nearly everyone in Mayport Village had a shrimper in the family.

Sh*****ng continues in Mayport today, and the delicious product, “Mayport Shrimp” are known world-wide.
