Open Table Our mission is to provide healthy food in ways that respect the dignity and diversity of those served

Open Table’s mission is to end hunger in our local community by providing healthy food in ways that respect the dignity and diversity of those served. Offering a wide variety of healthy and culturally appropriate food choices in our pantry and meal programs. Engaging a team of diverse, committed and passionate staff and volunteers

Values: We believe that people should not be hungry. We recognize

that economic, racial and gender inequality are the main drivers of food insecurity. We welcome our neighbors in need with compassion and respect. Vision: We strive to end hunger by addressing with our partners the systemic causes and immediate impacts of food insecurity.

Open Table wishes to thank the three board members — Patty Chambers, Gina Cummings, and Vivek Kamath — who are retiring at the end of our fiscal year (June 30, 2026). Each has dedicated their time, energy, and expertise to Open Table, and their contributions have clearly made a difference.

Although Patty, Gina and Vivek are stepping down, we hope this isn’t goodbye. Their insights and advice will always be valued. We look forward to their continued support and wish them all the best as they move on to new endeavors.

Thank you National Grid for donating over 500 cans of vegetables and beans. These cans were part of a volunteer team building activity of National Grid employees called Canstruction. The employees used cans to create structures with them, and then donate the cans afterwards. What a fun and unique way to spread More Love, Less Hunger!
Pictured is National Grid employee Mona Chandra delivering the cans to Open Table.

Thank you Boston Area Gleaners and Stonefield Farm Acton for the spinach delivery. Our volunteers were prepping it for delicious and healthy meals going out this week. Did you know spinach originated in Persia and their word for it translates to "Green Hand" which made sense with these big, beautiful green leaves!

We want to thank Trinitarian Congregational Church for their recent generous grant provided by their Mission Committee. The Tricon community has been supporting Open Table for 30 years, and we greatly appreciate their continued assistance. This funding will support food purchases, operations, outreach, and capacity expansion. Our Executive Director was also welcomed to a church service recently to recognize our work in the community. There were a lot of familiar faces in the congregation as we have many loyal volunteers in the Tricon community. Thank you, Tricon, for helping to spread More Love, Less Hunger!

Open Table extends our sincerest condolences to the Crosby family. Jim Crosby was a staunch supporter of our mission. We were privileged to recognize him and Crosby's Marketplace as our Chopped for Charity 2024 Honorees. We will remember his words about family and community and strive to honor his legacy through our work.
