Maynard Backpack Program - Food for Children

Another example of "kids these days":

The National and Jr National Honor Society showed up to help with today's food drive. They're always helpful and courteous, and bring a smile to my face. Thank you, students!

Thank you, Maynard Market Basket shoppers, The Maynard Police Department and the Rotary Club of Nashoba Valley for an incredibly successful food drive! The Backpack Program and The Maynard Food Pantry are so grateful for your generosity.

Stop by Market Basket Saturday and help get us stocked up for the new school year!

Maynard PD wants YOU to help stuff a police cruiser with as many donations as possible this Saturday!

Join the Maynard Police Department, Maynard Public Schools, and Rotary Club of Nashoba Valley at Market Basket on Digital Way between 10:00a and 1:00p for our upcoming Stuff-a-Cruiser event! We’ll be collecting donations to help support local families and make this season a little brighter.

Bring a donation, say hello to our officers and Otis, check out a cruiser, and help us see just how much we can stuff into it! Let’s show what Maynard can do when we come together!

Kids are headed back to school! 🥹🚍

Remind yourself that it takes all of us — parents and drivers working together — to keep our kids SAFE.

We hope you have a great school year! ❤️

Hey Maynard, if you see this lovely human out and about (no doubt you already know this), she has such a generous spirit and heart for our community! Thank you, as always, Lindsay Yanklowski, for providing the gear and supplies so that our kids can start their school year off right. And please thank your little helpers!

Packs and supplies will be available for one more day:
Monday, August 24. 9am until noon at
The Maynard Food Pantry,
82 Main Street.
Reminder: this event is for students of Maynard Public Schools.

08/15/2026

Lindsay Yanklowski and her team of volunteers generously donated backpacks of school supplies for Maynard Public Schools elementary students. These are basic supplies like pencils, crayons and markers.

Distribution is Monday, August 17 and Monday, August 24 during Maynard Food Pantry normal hours of 9-12pm. I'm sorry, but no holds.

07/27/2026

Consider helping to support filling backpacks with school supplies. These will be donated to Maynard youth later in August.

Can you help Lindsay meet her goal to support our community?

Her goal is to put together 75 backpacks filled with supplies.
