We would like to thank Sherry Kennin for her years of service and to which TimberNook Middlesex County would not exist. TimberNook Middlesex County started when Sherry went to an event at the discovery museum with Angela Hanscom and knew that the community needed TimberNook. For the last seven years, Sherry has worked both behind the scenes and through the rain, snow, mud and heat. Sherry is usually the first person our families have a conversation with and the first person we call when we need advice or to share a funny story.
Sherry is a force of nature. She is intelligent and observant. She can easily walk into a space and help transform it into a place where children can lead, learn and play. During her time at TimberNook, Sherry has worked to obtain scholarship money for families so that every child can get a chance to play in the woods. She has advocated for us in boardrooms, town halls and schools. Her belief in the importance of child led play is something that has deeply shaped our program and the lives of hundreds of children.
We wish Sherry the best and are profoundly thankful she made this program and helped so many children.
Warmly,
TimberNook Middlesex County
