Please help me to be able to reach out to or politicians to get them to help get funding reinstated. You can copy and paste this , change the names to fit your state, thanks.

I am requesting assistance in restoring and expanding funding. The United States government has eliminated all federal funding for spinal cord injury research this year. Last year, $40 million supported over 60 research projects through the Spinal Cord Injury Research Program (SCIRP). However, there is no funding allocated for this year.
This issue affects children with spinal cord injuries, such as Emily and many others, who are now facing a lack of support. Pediatric spinal cord injury research already struggles to secure funding, as private donors tend to focus on adult and veteran cases. Federal programs were among the few supporting pediatric trials, including those focused on early recovery, nerve regeneration, and neuromodulation.
As a result, several clinical trials, including phase II/III studies for children, have been paused or canceled, which is concerning. By the time Emily is eligible for adult programs or access proven therapies, she will have lived with her injury for too long to qualify. The opportunity for recovery is immediate, and it has now been lost for a generation of children.
This issue impacts families, veterans, accident victims, children, and anyone who might face similar circumstances in the future.

Thank you,

Chairman of the Mike L. Jezdimir Transverse Myelitis Foundation

My son's account was hacked, and the hacker used it to try to sell expensive items and Bitcoin for a scam, including an attempt to raise money to put me in a home. This is a fraud; please be aware. Despite contacting Meta (Facebook), they did not assist us. This is NOT something I would do.

On July 17, 2017, the Mike L. Jezdimir Transverse Myelitis Foundation donated $25,000 to Nancy Monson, Ph.D. Associate Professor of Neurology Associate Professor of Immunology UT Southwestern Medical Center to help her with a research project. She just notified me of her conclusions and that our funding helped drive this forward. We are referred to as The Transverse Myelitis Foundation. I told her we were honored to be part of this project and thanked her for including us.

From Nancy Monson, Ph.D.

So glad you wrote back, Mike! How are you doing? Attached is the paper, the TM Foundation is listed as a funding source. The journal has an impact factor of 9.3, that is very high for neurology research like this. Super proud of it! Many thanks to you guys!! Let me know if you want me to present the data to your team. I am happy to do it and would even come to you, if you like!

The Mike L. Jezdimir Transverse Myelitis Foundation was honored to be able to donate $8,000 in January of 2015 to help get the World's first field-installed, research-approved parallel transmit 7T MRI scanner at Auburn University. We were able to do this because of our fundraising efforts, private donations, and birthday donations via Facebook. Thank you so much. As you can see it’s now available for clinical use.

Certified by the Food and Drug Administration for use on clinical patients, the $9 million Siemens MAGNETOM 7T — centerpiece of the newly named Samuel Ginn College of Engineering's Neuroimaging Center — provides superior images compared to the university’s previous 7T research device.

Thank You to all of you that donated to my foundation via Facebook birthday fund. It's because of you that we were able to donate $25,000 to the SRNA (The Siegel Rare Neuroimmune Association) to help with research for this horrible disease.
