Getting to Shackleford Hall:
1. Enter MUW through the front gate.
2. Take the first left. Do not enter the one-way.
3. Veer right toward fork.
4. Take a left at the fork toward Subway and continue straight (passing the main MSMS building on the right).
4. Turn left on 5th Ave S toward the railroad tracks.

Parents & Scholars,

I hope you all are as excited as me for this Saturday's Conference! Here are a few important updates:

Venue - All conference activities will take place at the Mississippi School for Math and Science, Shackleford Academic Building on the campus of Mississippi University for Women. The Address is 1100 College Street, MUW-1627, Columbus, MS 39701.

Attire - All students asked to wear business professional attire for their professional headshots.

Check-In - All students under 18 must be accompanied by an adult (age 25+) to register.

Breakfast - Light Breakfast and Registration will begin at 8:00 am. Please plan to arrive no later than 8:40 am as our Opening Address will begin at 9 am.

Lunch will be provided. Vegetarian options will be available to those who have indicated this preference in their registration.

Pick-Up - Students will be dismissed no later than 2:30 pm.

Door Prizes - All participating students will be entered to win an Amazon Gift Card up to $75.

Rising 9th through 12th grade students residing in the Golden Triangle (Starkville, Columbus, and West Point, MS) and surrounding communities, the Local Learning Community Foundation invites you to apply for the 2018 Summer Mecca College Tour. Applications must be submitted no later than June 6, 2018 at 5:00 p.m.

Travel and lodging costs will be covered 100% for all participating students and chaperones. *** Applications will be reviewed in the order in which they are received to fill 10 slots.

Participating scholars will visit historic campuses in Atlanta, Georgia including Morehouse, Spelman, Clark Atlanta, and Emory.
