Come join us tomorrow at Petsense Mayfield! Due to incoming weather, we may not be there for the full duration of the event as it is outside and we will not have cats with us. We will still be there at 10AM and set up with dogs available for adoption! If you are looking to adopt a cat or kitten, the shelter will still be open tomorrow from 12-4!

Feel free to join us on Saturday June 13th for our June Adoption Event! Come and see a fire truck, a police car, and all of our furry friends who need a good home. The shelter will be doing microchipping if your pet is in need. We will also have vendors, and food trucks. Our event will run from 10am to 3pm.

Introducing Tux!

Tux is a 5 month old Border Collie mix. He had a rough start at life. The family who brought him to us witnessed this poor baby get tossed from a moving vehicle in front of them. They took him in, had him seen by a vet and was assure we would be just fine. Tux acts just like a normal puppy. Full of energy and loves to play. Even after what was done to him, he still loves people. Tux lives without fear like nothing ever happened. He just needs a home to love and care for him like he deserves.

Tux does great with other dogs and cats. He LOVES kids. Tux really enjoys playing with toys and would like a big yard to run and play. He is still working on potty training and is mostly leash trained.

Tux's adoption fee is $212 which includes, three puppy vaccines, bordetella, dewormer, flea/tick prevention for the current month, microchip, neuter, and rabies vaccine.

To meet Tux, please contact the shelter at (270) 251-0130, by email at [email protected], or send us a message on Facebook!

*** THANK YOU to everyone who showed up today to donate fans. We have enough fans now and are getting them placed throughout the building to keep everyone cool ***

We are in need of donations!

** We would like to add that we are addressing the issue and have someone scheduled to come look at our unit**

We are currently experiencing some issues with one of our A/C units here at the shelter, resulting a part of our facility having limited A/C. We are asking for donations of some box fans to help pull cold air through the building to keep our babies stay cool, especially with the expected heat indexes over the next few days.

If you have a spare fan you would like to donate, we are open from 12-4 today to drop it off.

Thank you to everyone who helps our shelter! You're kindness is greatly appreciated!

Did you know June is National Adopt a Cat Month?

Today through June 30th, cat and kitten adoptions fees are lowered! Adult cats will be $75 and Kittens will be $100.

Here at Mayfield-Graves County Animal Shelter, we have plenty of kittens and a few adults to choose from! As always, when adopting kittens, two is better than one! Especially if they are still very young.

In honor of National Adopt a Cat Month, we would also love to see all your feline rescue babies! Whether they were adopted from us or from another shelter, or simply found as a stray, drop a photo in the comments!

* Names of cats and kittens are listed with each photo along with gender. For more information about cat adoptions, please contact the shelter at (270) 251-0130 or send us a message on Facebook!

** These are not all of our available cats. To view all adoptable cats, you may visit the shelter during open hours Tuesday through Saturday from 12-4!
