Community Land Stewardship & Fire Mitigation Weekend

The new non-profit that owns our campus scheduled a volunteer work weekend from 05-07 June. They would appreciate our help; please consider attending if possible!

YOU MUST REGISTER IN ADVANCE, PLEASE, SO THEY KNOW WHO TO COUNT ON. Please DM us for the registration form so FB doesn't get weird. The form also provided a lot of additional details on what type of help is needed.

Once they get a bit more organized, we'll have a special alumni volunteer weekend for all those who wish to participate.

Thanks in advance to all of you who can attend.

Lynn Orbison (class of 76) has worked hard to get the ball rolling for a local Orme reunion at the Twin Bears Camp in Alaska from 07-09 August 2026.

According to the Alaska DNR website, "Twin Bears Camp is a state park facility located 35 miles east of Fairbanks. It's on a small secluded lake in a rustic woodland setting."

People can stay at the camp, or, if they want something more upscale, at the Chena Hot Springs Resort 25 miles away.
We will provide more details on our website as soon as we have them. For those who are interested, and/or have questions, please feel free to contact Lynn at (907) 332-9700.

Dear Alumni Family,

As we approach the winter holidays, we find ourselves drawn back to the place where we grew and learned — where we became who we are today.

No matter how each of us celebrates this season, we share something profound: the values and traditions that Orme wove into our lives. Chief among these is the understanding of family and community — not just as concepts, but as lived experiences that prepared us to navigate the world and pursue our dreams.

Those outside our community may not fully understand what that land means to us — the sacred ground where we lived, learned, and were transformed.

As you gather with friends and loved ones, we invite you to pause, even for just a moment, to reflect on our shared blessings. The challenges we've overcome and the successes we’ve achieved, the people we’ve become, the connections we maintain — all of these sprang from this unique and unassailable community that shaped us, and our Warrior spirit that carries us today.

From all of us to all of you, may your holidays be filled with warmth, joy, and the comfort of knowing you belong to something extraordinary.

With gratitude and affection,
Your Alumni Association

Dear Orme Family,

As we gather with our families tomorrow on this day of thanks and reflect on the blessings and grace bestowed upon us this year, let’s take a moment to hold space for our beloved Orme.

Like the Phoenix rising from the ashes, we come together as a community bound by an incredibly special connection. Out of the devastation of the school’s closure, we rise—just as we were taught—with grit and determination to carry on.

The bonds forged at Orme remain unbreakable, and together we honor the legacy that shaped us all.

Sending you all love and warmest wishes for tomorrow’s day of thanks and for all our tomorrows still promised.

With gratitude,

Your Alumni Association

We did it! Our home is safe, and our culture and traditions will live on through the Ormes and all of us. We’ve survived, and we’ll emerge stronger for having weathered this together.

We are working with If you 'grew up' at The Orme School, then you... and Brian Smith to connect us and help us!

Please share this page far and wide—it will be connected to our new Alumni website!
