The Community Historical Society Maxwell

The Community Historical Society Maxwell To let surrounding communities know about the little hidden gem that Maxwell has with their museums. Something our town should be very proud of.

The Community Historical Society, otherwise known as the Maxwell Museum, has sure grown from their first start in 1964. If you haven't ever ventured into either of the two buildings, I do encourage you to take some time in the summer to check them out. You will find some very interesting items, one of kind, very rare pieces! Run totally by volunteers and donations, they use all donations for the maintaining of their buildings.

🥩 While you’re in town for Maxwell Old Settlers be sure to swing by our SOUTH museum to check out our newest display featuring Logsdon’s Grocery. Stand behind the counter, scan the QR code to order a shirt (proceeds go to the Museums!), and venture though the building to enjoy so many other great treasures! We have something for everyone!

🇺🇸 Then be sure to stop at NORTH to pay visit to the local veterans and active military in our windows. This is a community favorite and we thank Sharon Adams and Pat Smith for all of their effort in making this showcase special every year!

✏️ Let’s see if this year is one for the books- make a donation and be sure to sign our guestbook! Also checkout the upcoming events we have planned yet this year! Something for every age to enjoy!

Looking for a local group who loves photography/scrapbooking. I have 3 classes that need some attention as the glue has lost its stick. Would any group be interested in a small project? We would love to get these finished up so that they can be displayed with the others in our graduation stand this Spring. Reach out to Kelly if interested!
