I am profoundly saddened to inform you of the death of Ed Hudson who joined the ranks of Post Everlasting this morning.
Ed served as the past Commander of Lake Charles Post 551, a past Seventh District Commander, and a Past Department Vice Commander. Throughout his years Ed was passionately involved in our Department and National American Legion affairs. He has served our Department and his district diligently on several commissions and committees.
Ed was a mentor to many, a friend to all and firm in his thoughts and commitments. His words were always carefully measured. His wise council will be sorely missed by the many who knew him.
Pray that his wife Sue and their families will gain the strength to bear the loss of his presence today and every day hereafter.
We pray for the family:
Heavenly Father, grant them the courage to face the days ahead and the strength to find healing in Your boundless love. Help them cherish the memories of their time together and find peace in the knowledge that our dear brother Ed is now in Your eternal embrace, free from pain and suffering. In the midst of this sorrow, Lord, may Your presence bring hope and restoration to their lives. Help them remember the love and the bond they shared, and may those memories become a source of strength and inspiration as they move forward. Amen.
Arrangements will be provided when known.
