Yet somehow, here we are.
Brute entered rescue with the understanding that a long-term foster commitment was in place to see him through heartworm treatment. Unfortunately, we now find ourselves needing to plan for his next chapter.
Here’s what we know:
Brute deserves better than uncertainty.
Brute deserves stability.
Brute deserves someone whose commitment to him doesn’t change when something new catches their eye.
And right now, Brute needs us.
Because Brute is preparing to begin heartworm injections, timing matters. Once treatment begins, he cannot safely be moved during the active injection and recovery period. If we can identify a foster or adopter before treatment starts, we can work on a transition plan. If not, he will need to complete treatment where he is and move as soon as medically cleared.
Candi has worked tirelessly to get this boy to this point. Appointments scheduled. Treatment coordinated. Every detail handled to give him the best possible chance at success.
Now we need someone willing to step up for HIM.
Not because he’s difficult.
Not because he’s broken.
Not because he’s done anything wrong.
In fact, quite the opposite.
If you’re looking for a gentle giant, a dog who simply wants belly rubs, companionship, and a place to belong, Brute may be exactly who you’ve been waiting for.
Please share.
Please apply.
Let’s find Brute the forever home he deserves.
