Mahalo to Maria Quidez, Program Officer at the Harold K.L. Castle Foundation, for their generous support in bringing the first state-of-the-art ʻAulama I Ke Ola Health Learning Lab to Waiʻanae High School.

The Harold K.L. Castle Foundation was one of ten dedicated funders who helped turn this vision into reality. This innovative lab will empower the next generation of healthcare professionals in Hawaiʻi, providing students with hands-on learning opportunities and a pathway to serve their communities.

We are deeply grateful for this partnership and shared commitment to the future of health education in our islands.

Watch the short video as Maria shares the importance of this health learning lab.

Hawai'i communities lead the way in stewarding 'āina. Community leaders, experienced fishers, and those deeply connected to place hold invaluable ʻike that guides resource management. Co-management partnerships are one way government and people of place can work together to care for ʻāina and communities.
