Just an update. The Maumelle Parks Department have installed 6 benches and shade structures over them. Irrigation and rough dirt work has been completed. Some of the topsoil was delivered today and more will be delivered tomorrow. Sod, fencing, and a 20’x20’x8’ shade pavilion is all on order. The Sponsorship sign/ monument will be next.

The surface was completed over the weekend and the Lilly pads and river look great! Dirt work around the playground is next and we have concrete ordered for this Thursday to install 6 benches with shade covers. Still moving forward!

Lake Valencia Play & Splash Park, a Playground for Everyone!

The City of Maumelle and a group of committed residents are pleased to announce the plans to bring an All-Inclusive Playground at the Lake Valencia Play & Splash Park. Most playgrounds meet standard ADA guidelines and do not allow everyone to participate. We plan to change that!

We invite you to make a difference in our community by investing in the world of play. Your gift, sponsorship, in-kind services, or materials will provide the invigorating benefits of play for children and families for years to come. Play is critical for all ages and all abilities and the positive impact on health and wellness is invaluable.

Inclusively designed play environments are a statement about a community’s social values and every child’s right to play. This destination playground will contribute to greater awareness, break down barriers, and foster friendships. Join us as we transform our community by providing a place where everyone can play… together.

The goal is to build this playground and splash pad with funding from community gifts, corporate contributions and grants. Be a part of our play movement by giving a gift that will last a lifetime.
