As President & CEO of the Maumelle Area Chamber of Commerce, I am proud to support Issue 3 because I believe in the future of our state, our businesses, and the communities we call home.
Every day, I see firsthand the hard work that goes into attracting new businesses, creating jobs, encouraging investment and improving quality of life. I also see the challenges Arkansas faces when competing with neighboring states that have economic development tools we simply do not have available.
Issue 3 is about giving Arkansas communities another opportunity to compete for growth and investment. Whether a community needs additional retail, restaurants, medical facilities, housing or new employers, economic development is not one-size-fits-all. What works for Maumelle may look completely different from what another Arkansas community needs.
But just as importantly, I believe everyone deserves the opportunity to ask questions, understand the proposal and have their voice heard.
That is why we are continuing to invite EVERYONE to join us for one of our two upcoming public meetings about Issue 3:
