UAW Region 2B was proud to spend time this week with the Executive Board and Chairpersons of UAW Local 12 for two important educational workshops: Leadership Essentials and Building Unionists.

These classes focused on developing strong union leaders, strengthening communication, growing member involvement, and building the skills needed to continue fighting for our membership.

UAW Education Representative Amy Richardson and Region 2B Servicing Representative Dan McGrath led these discussions and sharing their knowledge and experience with our local union leaders.

The strength of our union comes from educated, engaged, and empowered members. Thank you to UAW Local 12 leadership for their commitment to learning, growing, and building a stronger UAW.

Today, members came together for two great educational classes — Lessons from Labor History and Talkin’ Union.

Local 14’s Education Committee, with the support of Region 2B Education Rep Amy Richardson, led these important conversations about our shared history and the power of standing together.

Learning from the struggles and victories of those who came before us helps strengthen the work we continue today. Union education gives members the tools to understand our past, take action in the present, and keep moving the labor movement forward.

Yesterday, the UAW Women's Department proudly stood in solidarity with our union family at UAW Local 2192 — Lorain County Job & Family Services, joining them on the picket line.

The Women’s Department didn’t come empty-handed. They arrived with a trunk full of donations to support our brothers and sisters on the line. That’s the power of union family: when one of us stands, we all stand together.

A huge thank you as well to UAW Local 2000 for providing space for the grocery pantry and helping make sure members and families have support during this fight.

For the first time, UAW Region 2B held Constitutional Convention Delegate Readiness training last week.

This important session brought together dedicated union members who are preparing to represent their locals and memberships at the upcoming UAW Constitutional Convention. Through education, discussion, and collaboration, delegates gained valuable insight into convention procedures, constitutional issues, and the responsibilities that come with serving as a delegate.
