Mattoon Community Food Pantry Run entirely by volunteers, the Mattoon Community Food Pantry helps local families in Coles County by providing both fresh and shelf-stable grocery items.

We believe in neighbors helping neighbors, and building a stronger, more caring community.

🚚 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! 🚚

We are looking for dependable drivers and helpers to pick up food donations from Walmart and other locations.

📅 Mondays, Wednesdays, and/or Fridays
⏰ 7:00 AM – 10:00/11:00 AM
💪 Must be 18+ and able to lift 50–60 lbs.

This is one of our biggest food drives of the year and we need YOU! 🤝

You can make a huge impact just by setting a bag of can goods outside your door by 8am on Saturday. We will do the rest! 🥫📦

*Our volunteers do their best to get to every house, but if we miss it, please give us a call, and we will be happy to pick it up!**

HUGE thank you to the Mattoon community and to every single volunteer who helped make this year’s food drive such an incredible success! Because of your generosity, we received 8,470 pounds of non-perishable food items last Saturday.

Your kindness directly supports families in our community, and we are truly grateful for each donation, each volunteer hour, and every porch pick-up that made this possible. Mattoon showed up in a big way—thank you for caring.
