The mission of Gethsemane Garden Christian Centre (GGCC) is to rescue and give hope to HIV/AIDS orphans and impoverished children by educating and equipping them to impact Kenyan culture and the world for Jesus Christ. GGCC helps to meet the physical, educational, and spiritual needs of these children, and provide hope for their futures. At GGCC, spiritual formation is more than a weekly event—it is woven into everyday life.

From morning devotions to evening prayers, faith shapes the rhythm of our community. Each Sunday, students and staff gather as one body to worship, learn, and grow together. While the impact of these moments cannot be measured, their influence is seen throughout the week in transformed hearts, stronger character, and a deeper walk with Christ.

During May and June, several powerful messages helped guide our community's spiritual journey, reminding us that God continues to work in remarkable ways among our students and staff.

For more than 22 years, Beatrice Ogutu has faithfully served the children of GGCC, watching generations of students grow from timid young learners into confident adults, professionals, leaders, and followers of Christ.

As one of GGCC's pioneering teachers, she has witnessed firsthand the power of education, mentorship, and God's love to transform lives. Her story is a reminder that lasting impact isn't measured in days or months—but in years of faithful service, one child at a time.

At Gethsemane Garden Academy and Gethsemane Garden High School, students and staff gathered for flag-raising ceremonies and special assemblies to reflect on freedom, citizenship, leadership, and service.

The energy is building at GGCC! ⚽🏐🏀 Students from both Gethsemane Garden High School and Gethsemane Garden Academy are hard at work preparing for the Second Term Games kicking off in early June.

This term’s competitions will include boys and girls soccer, volleyball, netball, basketball, and indoor games like badminton and table tennis at the high school level.

The excitement, teamwork, and school spirit are already filling the campus!

We are beyond grateful for every sponsor, golfer, volunteer, donor, and supporter who helped make this event possible.

Because of your generosity and belief in the mission of GGCC, lives are being impacted, students are being supported, and hope continues to grow on Mfangano Island and beyond.

Our newly renovated Biology & Chemistry Lab is almost complete, and we can hardly wait to open the doors! What was once just a classroom space is becoming a place of discovery, innovation, curiosity, and hands-on learning for our students.

From future nurses and doctors to scientists and educators, this lab will help equip students with the tools and opportunities to dream bigger and learn deeper.

Big smiles, loud singing, dancing feet, and lots of joy — this week marked the VERY FIRST Sunday School sessions for our youngest GGCC students!

Through songs, stories, movement, and play, our little learners began exploring faith in a way made just for them. Watching their excitement, wonder, and pure joy reminded us why this mission matters so much.

There’s something special about the start of a new term at GGCC—a sense of renewal, purpose, and expectation. We’re grateful for a strong and intentional beginning as students return to learning, fellowship, and growth.

This past Sunday, we gathered for our first service of the term, setting the tone for the weeks ahead. At the high school, that momentum continued with our first Youth Christian Initiative (YCI) session—creating space for faith, reflection, and growth.
