Matthews UMC Youth A Ministry of Matthews United Methodist Church We are a goup of 7th-12th graders that live in or near Matthews, NC.

As we say in our mission statement, it is our deepest desire to intimately know Jesus Christ, live in a way that gives him glory, and spread his love to those who do not know him. We meet weekly at Matthews United Methodist Church from 6-8 on Sunday nights. During this time we eat a pizza dinner, worship God, and study scripture in small groups. We also offer a host of other opportunities for yout

⏪ YOUTH GROUP REWIND ⏪

It's been TOO long, fam 🔥 Last Sunday, we welcomed our incoming 7th Graders and their families with a very special Night at . Then, when everyone was altogether, we had a blast singing, playing, and learning together.

Connor taught us about the Throne of our Hearts, reminding us that every heart has a throne, and every throne has a king. We were challenged to be authentic, and not just put on a show for whoever is watching. Who is on the throne of your heart? 🪑👑

Remember: no Youth Group next Sunday (September 6) as it's Labor Day weekend. We'll see you back on September 13 for Pancakes and Pajamas 🥞

🥞 September 13 | Pancakes & Pajamas at Youth Group! No registration required. Wear your best (appropriate) pajamas and come ready to eat some delicious pancakes!

Tonight's the night ‼️ You won't want to miss tonight's "Night at " event! Drop an emoji in the comments if we'll see you there ⬇️

🎉 New Youth (including all 7th graders) & a parent or guardian arrive at 5:30PM to learn about all things Youth Group
🔥 Beginning at 6:30PM, all youth are welcome to stick around for a fun-filled night of Youth!
🍽️ Bring $6 for Cafe Dinner: Pulled pork BBQ (bun optional), fruit, baked beans, chips, and dessert 😋 Dinner served at 6:30PM
