University of Idaho graciously hosted Wahluke FFA through the Potato Germplasm Lab, Meat Science & Innovation Center Honoring, JW Martin Lab, 6th Street Greenhouses, William F. Barr Entomological Museum and Stillinger Herbarium.

Thank you Drs. Matthew Doumit, Luc Leblanc, Kayla Spawton, and Thomas McDonough for the wonderful hands-on experience.

Wahluke FFA had a good time competing in Food Science, Middle School Food Products & Processing, Spanish Creed, and attending the first evening session of the 96th WA FFA State Convention!

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported us yesterday, it was great seeing familiar and new faces at the plant sale. We’ll be out at the WJH greenhouse (near the track) again today until 6:00pm and tomorrow from 10:00am-6:00pm and look forward to seeing you there!

Wahluke horticulture and FFA students in the news. The plant sale is next week.

MOSES LAKE — This is the time of year when FFA students get to show the fruits of their labor – literally – at plant sales all over the Columbia Basin. Nearly every high school will offer flower and vegetable starts for sale around the end of April and the beginning of May.

Wahluke students presented themselves well at the D9 FFA Sub-Districts competition- Creed Speaking and Employment Skills. Destiny Medrano placed 2nd in Spanish Creed and will continue on to Districts.
