A few words about Teresa Young our newest member of the King and Queen Farm Bureau Women's Committee

I fell in love with farming as a child spending summers at my grandparent’s farm in Ohio. I recently retired from 35 years federal service to include being in the US Air Force, working for the US Army and working for the federal government in Washington DC. My husband and I have a small farm in King and Queen County where we raise chickens, Finnsheep and Friesian horses. I produce yarn and roving from my Finnsheep wool, along with spinning and weaving to produce products to sell at my small business, The Chocolate Ram in Shacklefords and at a few farmers markets in the area.
I look forward to working with the Farm Bureau Women’s Committee.

The King and Queen Women's Committee is grateful for the chance to participate in the 250th anniversary celebration on May 16th at the King and Queen County Court House. During the event, Stacy Richardson took part in a rug hooking demonstration. Our display of goats was well-received, and we were thrilled to engage with the large turnout and spotted Deligate Keith Hodges in the crowd. We value our role as the voice of agriculture through the King and Queen County Farm Bureau.

🌾✨ What a wonderful weekend in Harrisonburg! ✨🌾

The King & Queen Farm Bureau Women’s Committee had an amazing time attending our Annual Conference this past weekend in Harrisonburg, Virginia. It was a time filled with meaningful fellowship, making new friendships, and gaining valuable updates and inspiration to bring back to our community.

We are so grateful for the opportunity to connect with others who share a passion for agriculture and service. 💚
