After years of hard work, we are excited to announce the grand opening of the Jay Moglia Memorial Mountain Bike trails in Lost River State Park! This wouldn't be possible without the support of the community, local businesses, West Virginia State Parks , and other governmental and nonprofit agencies. The Hardy County Crytids West Virginia Interscholastic Cycling League team now have the first three miles of adaptive trail to practice on, sustainably built by after their design by an International Mountain Bicycling Association Trail Accelerator Grant. The construction was funded in part by a Recreational Trails Program Grant administered by West Virginia Department of Transportation with matching funds donated by the Jonathan D. and Mark C. Lewis Foundation.

We were excited to host Jeremiah Bishop for the Jay Moglia Memorial Mountain Bike Trails grand opening in Lost River State Park! It's not every day local youth mountain bikers get to ride with a pro! Thanks to everyone for making this possible!

We are excited to host the grand opening of the Jay Moglia Memorial Mountain Bike Trail System in Lost River State Park on Sunday, May 31 at 2pm at the trailhead! This is the first three miles of a multi-phase project designed and built by International Mountain Bicycling Association! Please see more info and RSVP here:

Thinking about those summer days. The Lost River Classic is a grassroots event in Mathias, WV--the fourth race in the WV Gravel Series . With live bluegrass music and a large farmer's market, this is becoming one of the go-to events in the mid-Atlantic gravel calendar.

All proceeds benefit Lost River Trails Coalition and the Hardy County Cryptids West Virginia Interscholastic Cycling League team.

Between completing the first 3 miles of the Jay Moglia Beginner Trail in Lost River State Park, our 15-member Hardy County Cryptids junior mountain bike team, and the Lost River Classic with its all-time showing of nearly 200 riders, 2025 was a banner year for the Lost River Trails Coalition.
