Our first BBQ chicken of the year will be Saturday, May 2nd. The cost is $5 a half. It will be ready around 10 am. Sold at the Mathias Community Center - 195 Howards Lick Road Mathias.

Are you passionate about helping your community? How about an interest in pickleball? Or co****le or horseshoes? If you said “yes” to any of those questions, we need could use your help.

We would love to move forward with two projects at the Community Center:
1) Getting the existing tennis courts capped with new asphalt and converted into a dual court (one tennis and two pickleball).
2) Upgrade one of the old horseshoe pits and install new co****le playing spaces.

What we need:
1) Monetary donations
Tax deductible donations can can be mailed to PO Box 98 Mathias, WV 26812 with “outdoor projects” in the memo line. Or you can give donations directly to any of the board members.
2) Grant writers
If you have a talent in grant writing and would like to research grants available in our community available for this project we’d love to have your help.
3) Share the information with other community members to help us move forward with these projects.

Thanks to all that made the 2026 Easter Egg Hunt a successful one! A great time was had by all!
