Mathews 4-H Shooting Sports Club We are currently getting ready to restart shooting activities in April/May2018.

AT CLUB MEETINGS, 4-H'ERS...
• Practice safety techniques and response to range Commands
• Learn basic shooting fundamentals
• Clean and maintain fi****ms and equipment
• Learn about eye and ear protection
• Develop shooting skills
• Explore wildlife conservation
• Take field trips

Hello everyone! Our Shooting Sports Club is looking for a new location to practice as we have had issues finding a dry enough space that can accommodate rifle and archery practice. If you know of anyone that might be willing to partner with 4-H on this please let us know! Thanks :)

Shooting Sports Club registration is open! We will have a meeting to establish the club on July 14th from 9:30am-10:30 at the Middlesex Shooting Sport Club. Come and learn about 4-H Shooting sports and have your kids try out archery!

Met with Middlesex Shooting Sports Club last night to discuss using their range for 4-H activities. They were very receptive. Our first meeting will probable be around the end of the month, or the beginning of May. We're planning to start with Archery, Shotgun and Rifle, because we have instructors for those disciplines. Next instructor training weekend is in the fall at Holiday Lake 4-H Education Center. We're always looking for volunteer instructors if you're interested. No experience necessary! Stay tuned!

We haven't been active for the better part of a year, since I've been too busy with work and no one has stepped to the plate so far. If you're interested in coordinating the club, Please let me know. No experience is necessary, and there are still qualified instructors, including me, to help. I've been contemplating starting a s***t group for teens, but that is still in work. Any help is appreciated!
