We recently awarded 8 - $2,000 scholarships to students from our area or attending colleges in our area. The deserving student receipients were the following:
Alyssa Barnett - she is a graduate student at the University of Akron majoring in Speech and Language Pathology. She earned here undergrad degree from Bowling Green State University.
Kyla Fuller - she is doctoral student in the Northeast Ohio Audiology Consortium which incorporates classwork with both Kent State University and University of Akron.
Joshua Janssen - he is a recent graduate of Jackson High School and plans to attend the College of Wooster this fall. Joshua has bilateral hearing loss and qualified for a scholarship.
Shane Morgan - he is a graduate student in the counseling program at Malone University and has been in the educational field.
Caroline Pastore - she is a recent graduate of Baldwin Wallace University and plans to go on for a masters in speech and language pathology. She is also a graduate of Lake High School.
Blaire Testa - she is a recent graduate of University of Akron and will begin graduate school in the fall at Akron majoring in Speech and Lanaguage Pathology and Audiology. Blaire also has a hearing loss and is a graduate of Lake High School.
Robin Vanzant - she is a graduate student in the counseling program at Malone University and is a non-traditional student.
Alexia Wengerd - she is a graduate student in the counseling program at Malone University and is from Wooster. She and her husband have been foster parents.
