👀 Session Sneak Peek 👀
Join us during an afternoon breakout session on:

Ohio Legislation Impacting DHH Children and Youth

Presenters will tell the story of hearing loss-related legislation in Ohio, from Universal Newborn Hearing Screening to the Ohio Hearing Aid Assistance Program to Madeline’s Law. They will share the story of Madeline’s Law and the journey they took from initial meetings with legislators to the social media presence and power of “Let Ohio Hear” to the final signing of the bill into law in December 2024. They will also offer information about the specific details of Madeline’s Law and how to help families access the coverage to which they are entitled, as well as the limitations of the legislation. They will offer suggestions for citizen action in the arena of hearing loss – and how attendees can get started on their own legislative advocacy journey.

Presented by Camille Warren and Dr. Carrie Spangler
