Parker is awesome! He has been very helpful to several of our Troop's scouts!

⭐ Meet Parker, Volunteer Coordinator at Stark Parks! Beginning in a seasonal role for the Natural Resources department, Parker soon transitioned into the Community Engagement department, where he's been for the past five year, serving and assisting hundreds of volunteers at Stark Parks

Every day is unique for Parker, but one thing stays the same: communicating with the public- from internal staff to external organizations, such as churches, schools, and other groups wanting to volunteer their time. Some days, Parker will be inside coordinating volunteer projects. Other days, he'll be training volunteers or leading an invasive plant removal outside.

One of Parker's biggest accomplishments while working at Stark Parks has been guiding our volunteers through transitions in leadership, branding, and volunteer management software. "Change is difficult for many people including myself and I am honored that our volunteers trust me to guide them through it."

For Parker, one thing he finds unique about working for Stark Parks is the people. "I enjoy hearing about all the memories people have created in the parks." The majority of the people he interacts with at work have grown up in Stark County, unlike himself.
