Have you heard of Compassion Delivered?
They are a Stark County based organization providing a vital service for individuals living with serious, life-threatening chronic illnesses who may have difficulty preparing or accessing healthy meals.
WHO they serve
They deliver meals to any Stark County resident, regardless of age or income, who has a documented chronic illness such as cancer, end-stage renal disease, congestive heart failure, multiple sclerosis, or another qualifying condition. They support individuals experiencing challenges with meal preparation due to treatment side effects, disability, or limited mobility.
WHAT they provide
Each delivery includes 3 frozen entrées and 2 sixteen ounce soups. Meals are prepared in a shared kitchen and may contain common allergens including wheat, soy, dairy, egg, nuts, fish, and shellfish. Diet-specific meals are not currently available.
WHEN they deliver
Deliveries take place every Friday. Delivery time is based on your address, and someone must be home to receive the meals unless other arrangements have been made.
HOW it works
Meals are delivered by a dedicated team of volunteers and staff. If you are interested in volunteering or know someone who could benefit from services, applications can be requested by emailing [email protected]
This is a meaningful local resource helping ensure neighbors facing serious health challenges still have access to nourishing meals and consistent support.
