The Massena Artists Association (MAA) invites all local artists to come to the Seaway Visitor Center at Eisenhower Lock (76 Barnhart Island Rd, Massena) to “Create Art from Inside Looking Out”. Artists can sit (chairs provided) or stand inside and look out the huge windows to create a sketch, drawing, etc. of the winter scenery. Scenery opportunities include everything from trees, the St. Lawrence River, river buoys on property for winter, lock walls and Seaway buildings. Plenty of interesting items to captivate an artist sketch pad or canvas. If the weather is sunny, artists may also choose to sit on the balcony to get a closer view. This is a great opportunity for all area artists to come together, network and create some art.
The event will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2026, from 12:30 pm – 4:00 pm at the Seaway Visitor Center at Eisenhower Lock (76 Barnhart Island Road, Massena, NY 13662).
Please contact [email protected] or [email protected] with any questions.
