We are grateful for to these amazing people! We couldn’t do this without them. Thank you!!

Behind every call, every emergency, and every moment of uncertainty, sits a Public Safety Dispatcher, ready to be the calm in your chaos.

During National Telecommunications Week, we recognize the unseen heroes of Public Safety. The dispatchers who answer the call, no matter the hour. The ones who stay calm when everything else feels chaotic. The voices that guide, reassure, and coordinate help when it’s needed most.

They are the FIRST First Responder. They gather critical information, coordinate and send resources, and often provide the lifeline between good and evil, until help arrives. They carry the weight of every call from the moment it begins to long after it is over, yet continue to show up unselfishly with professionalism, compassion, determination and mental strength.

To My Crew: Your strength in the toughest moments, your calm in the chaos, and your unwavering commitment to this community does not go unnoticed. Thank you for your dedication, your resilience, and your commitment to serving others. You are the steady voice people depend on when everything else feels uncertain, and I’m grateful for the difference you make every day!

Cass County is extremely fortunate to have over 100 years of experience sitting in our chairs.

Thank you to :

Fire prevention week! We spent time at the elementary school last Friday. It’s great to see our community fire departments come together for the kids! We love showing the kids all the trucks, gear, and talking fire safety.

*!* Update *!*

Lines have been restored. You can now call the Sheriff’s Office and Jail as you normally would. Thank you for your patience and understanding!

Unfortunately the 911 Center had some equipment that took a very big hit earlier this evening. With that, several servers have been damaged. While our IT Director will be working tirelessly through the night to get this fixed, the Sheriff’s Office and Jail phones will not be operational for several hours. Please call the Communications Center @ 712-243-2204 if you need any assistance from the Sheriff’s Office or 911 if you have an emergency. We apologize for the inconvenience and will update this post when things are fixed and operational! Please share this post to help get the information out!

Thank you!
