Over this past legislative session, wheelchair users and repair providers came together to work on a bill with the shared goal of improving the timeliness of wheelchair repairs. Unfortunately, it became clear providers were only interested in a bill that benefited them. They convinced the legislature that the Consumer Wheelchair Repair Bill of Rights would drive providers out of business, and it did not pass. Share your story with us today to educate the legislature and public about the realities of getting your wheelchair repaired!

MILC is headed to the Annual Malone Fly-In Festival today!

Join us Saturday, August 22 from 10 AM–5 PM at the Malone Airport for a fun-filled community event!

The Fly-In Festival weekend will feature aircraft displays, airplane and helicopter rides, live music, food trucks, craft vendors, kids’ bounce houses, community booths, and more.

While you’re enjoying the festival, stop by the MILC table. Our staff will be available to share information about the many services and resources MILC offers to residents of Franklin County.

If you are 65 or older, blind, or living with a disability, you may qualify for Medicaid or a Medicare Savings Program that can help with healthcare expenses.

MILC’s Facilitated Enrollment services are FREE and can help you:

• Understand your options
• Determine potential eligibility
• Complete and submit applications
• Gather required documentation
• Complete annual renewals

We provide assistance with Medicaid for homecare, long-term care, Medicare costs, and other healthcare expenses.
