SeaComm Federal Credit Union President and CEO Scott Wilson was a recent guest speaker at the Massena Rotary Club's weekly luncheon. During his tenure at SeaComm, the credit union, which has its headquarters in Massena, has grown $600 million dollars in assets and has expanded from its traditional footprint in St. Lawrence and Franklin Counties into new markets in Plattsburgh and Watertown, NY as well as into Northwestern Vermont with a total of 9 retail locations. SeaComm was named Federal Credit Union of the Year in 2012 and Wilson was named CEO of the year in 2018 by the National Association of Federally-insured Credit Unions. SeaComm has been certified as a Great Place to Work for the past 3 years and as a Best Company to Work for in New York the previous 10 years. SeaComm has over 140 full-time employees and is a major supporter of the Massena Rotary Club especially during the Club's annual pancake day. Bill Shumway (left) spoke at a recent Massena Rotary Club Luncheon at Morley's American Grill in Massena. Bill is founder, editor, and publisher of “North Country This Week.” He started the paper with 1 full time and 1 half-time employee in his West Stockholm living room in 1984. Bill related his journalistic journey and also talked about the current state of news media in the North Country. He is pictured with program chair and incoming Massena Rotary Club President Pat Brady.
