Calling all Senior Patrol Leaders across Scouting America Long Island!

This is a great opportunity for our SPLs to connect with youth leaders from across the country, share what’s working in their troops, and have a real voice in the future of Scouts BSA.

We encourage every Scouts BSA troop on Long Island to make sure their SPL or a designated Scout representative participates on October 25.

For the first time ever, Senior Patrol Leaders from across the country will come together for the Scouts BSA SPL Summit on October 25!

This is your opportunity to connect with other youth leaders, share what’s working in your troop, talk about what could be better, and help shape the future of Scouts BSA.

⏰ 7:00-7:30 p.m. local time

Can’t make the session at your local time? No problem! Eight identical sessions will be offered at 7 p.m. Eastern, Central, Mountain, and Pacific times so Scouts can choose the session that works best for them.

What will you do?

🔹 Share ideas with Scouts from across the country
🔹 Learn what’s working in other troops
🔹 Compare experiences with Scouts nationwide
🔹 Share what you think could make Scouts BSA better
🔹 Help shape the future of the program

Your troop’s experience matters. Your ideas matter. Your voice matters.

Scoutmasters will receive registration information approximately one month before the Summit to share with their SPL or designated youth representative.

Please join us for Cub Adventure Camp 2026!

Get ready for a weekend of Cub Scout advancement, adventure, and fun!

Cub Scouts in grades K–5, from Lions through Webelos, are invited to join us for a weekend packed with opportunities to work on advancement while enjoying time together at camp. Arrow of Light Scouts will have their own separate program designed just for them.

Space is limited to 25 Scouts per rank, so be sure to register early. Advance registration is required, and no walk-ins will be accepted.

Please note that meals are not included. Families, dens, or packs should plan to provide and prepare their own lunch and dinner on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday.

This is a rain-or-shine event, so come prepared for a great weekend of Scouting, learning, adventure, and outdoor fun!

News 12 Long Island had a blast during their live remote from Baiting Hollow Scout Camp this morning! Reporter Jen Seelig and her crew spent time with our Scouts and staff while checking out all the summer camp activities happening. In case you missed it, check out this clip.

After merging Suffolk and Nassau Scouting Councils, children from all over are coming together for an incredible summer experience.

Join us this morning as News 12 Long Island goes live from Baiting Hollow Scout Camp, now part of the newly merged Scouting America Long Island.

As Baiting Hollow Scout Camp celebrates 100 years of adventure, leadership and outdoor experiences, News 12 will showcase the exciting activities that make Scouting such a life-changing experience for thousands of young people across Long Island. From climbing and archery to waterfront adventures and outdoor skills, viewers will see Scouting's mission and vision in action while learning how today's Scouts are building confidence, leadership, character and lifelong friendships.

Live segments begin at 6:00 a.m. and continue throughout the morning.

We encourage all Scout families, alumni and supporters to tune in, cheer on our Scouts and celebrate this special milestone.

Congratulations to Eagle Scouts and newly commissioned U.S. Air Force Second Lieutenants Nicholas Gaudioso and Anthony Lumia on graduating with the Class of 2026 from the U.S. Air Force Academy.

Nicholas began his Scouting journey with Cub Scout Pack 5 in East Northport and Troop 174 in Elwood. Anthony started with Cub Scout Pack 539 and Troop 75 in Kings Park. Joining them in celebration was U.S. Air Force Staff Sergeant Ryan Gibbs, also an Eagle Scout from Pack 5 and Troop 174.

Their accomplishments reflect years of dedication, perseverance and service. The values learned through Scouting, including leadership, responsibility, integrity and teamwork, provide a strong foundation for success in every path young people choose.

Nicholas will continue his journey at flight school in Texas, while Anthony will attend flight training in Mississippi as they begin their careers serving our nation.

Congratulations to Nicholas, Anthony and Ryan. Your achievements inspire the next generation of Scouts to dream big, lead with character and make a difference wherever life takes them.

Today, we proudly send off the Scouting America Long Island contingent as they begin their journey to the 2026 National Jamboree!

Our Scouts and leaders are headed for an incredible adventure where they’ll join thousands of Scouts from across the country for an experience filled with excitement, challenges, new friendships, and memories they’ll carry with them for years to come.

To every Scout and leader representing Long Island: take it all in, embrace every adventure, meet new people, and make the most of every moment!
