On Tuesday, May 5th, MiChaela Barker, Manager of Strategic Projects for 1-800-Flowers’ Founder and Chairman, invited Madam Regional Director Elicia Pegues Spearman, Esq. to witness 1-800-Flowers ring the NASDAQ bell in celebration of Mother’s Day and the company’s 50th anniversary.

Monique Brown Mercado who also works for 1800 Flowers and Duanecia Clark, the North Atlantic Region Social Media Coordinator were in attendance to celebrate the occasion.

MiChaela made the occasion even more special by celebrating alongside her mother Dr. Alane Laws-Barker, father Thomas Barker Sr., and brother Zachary Barker.

This inspiring event supports the incredible work of Girl Scouts of Nassau County—including Camp Blue Bay programs, essential resources, and campership opportunities that ensure every girl has access to growth, leadership, and exploration.
