Bluebonnet CASA volunteers are vital to helping children navigate an increasingly complex child welfare system. In FY25 alone, nearly 7,000 CASA volunteers served children across Texas. These children deserve a united front of advocates, and we’re determined to give them just that as they face one of the most challenging moments that a child or young person can experience.

CASA volunteers show up! 👏 Volunteers believe in children, fight for them, and are consistent advocates when everyone and everything changes around them.

With their consistent presence, CASA volunteers could be the one true sense of normalcy that children experience as they miss their family, friends, and home.

Community-Based Care (CBC) continues to rollout across Texas. As our state's child welfare services evolve, children and families are at risk of falling through the cracks because of placement instability, delayed services, or unmet educational and mental health needs.

We know that when systems are strained, children are the ones who feel the impact. CASA volunteers are not only adapting to CBC but going above and beyond to alleviate service delays or confusion.

Texas children and families need the support of a CASA volunteer, and we want to do everything we can to reach ALL of them — especially as children enter care with deeper trauma, greater mental health needs, and fewer placement options. ❤️‍🩹

Help the CASA network match every child with a volunteer. Together, we can build brighter futures and a stronger Texas.
