Four of our very own Local 4049 – Mason Professional Firefighters took on the ultimate test of endurance, teamwork, and determination by completing a 12-hour adventure race at East Fork!
The race consisted of:
🏃 10–15 miles of trail running
🚵 10–15 miles of mountain biking
🛶 30–35 miles of kayaking
With the goal of navigating as many checkpoints as possible, this team of four, first time competitors completed a total of 34 check points, placing an incredible 5th out of 16 in their division!
Combining strength, stamina, and mental toughness —
Luke Burkhart (Team Capt.),
Guy Goodpaster (Pace Setter),
Colton Neu (Navigator),
Ethan Arcuri (Mule),
pushed themselves through miles of challenging terrain and water to take on an incredible endurance challenge.
The competing team Members and Local 4049 would like to express their sincere gratitude to the Twin Creek Kayak and Canoe Livery of German Town, Ohio who graciously sponsored the team and provided essential equipment such as kayaks for the completion of this race. This would not have been possible without their support!
