Mason High School Class of 1961 This Page has been created to assist the 1961 Bulldogs in keeping track of each of other and to keep eveyone up to date on our 50th Class Reunion next year.

If you have any ideas for this page, let us know. Your participation is welcome! A Friday night reception at a local Bulldog memorabilia barn will start the weekend. This unique barn features artifacts from past school years at Mason. The Classes of 1960 and 1962 will be invited to join us. A Saturday morning buffet breakfast with your classmates is planned at “Extra”, a new event and gat

hering facility on the courthouse square. Following breakfast Saturday morning, a Civil War Museum tour will be available for those classmates who are interested. Peter Robinson’s 9-hole golf invitational will also be on Saturday morning following the breakfast. The second annual Mason “Sun Dried Music Fest” begins at noon on Saturday and will continue late into the evening on the courthouse square. Various area bands will entertain music lovers. The main celebration event will be a Saturday night banquet at Chisholm Hills Golf Course – This is an old landmark with newly renovated accommodations. Appetizers will be ready at 6 p.m. with dinner served at 7:30 p.m. A cash bar will be available. There’ll be some nice favors, a 50–50 raffle, a chance to win a grand prize, and a new class directory. We’ll have a group picture taken you can order that night. Digital photos will be available too. This will be a great opportunity to save a memory of a fellow classmate and you. Peter and Mary Robinson will host a picnic at 1:00 pm. on Sunday.

PLACE: Oracle Financial Solutions Building, 3rd Floor, 140 E. Ash St., downtown Mason
TIME: 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Please bring a dish to pass and your own drink. Sloppy Joes, condiments and tableware will be provided.
BEER TENT AND STREET DANCING: 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Reserved seating will be available at the north end of the beer tent. $5.00 entry fee per person.

Hello Classmates,
Mary Arnold Peterson provided me with information regarding the
death of Dr. Keith Pauley. I copied the
following from the Obituary in the Lansing State Journal:

"O. Keith Pauley, DO, FACOFP April 16, 1916 – December 20, 2011

For 29 years he served as volunteer sport team physician at
Mason High school, donating free physicals for players and cheerleaders also
coaching summer recreation programs in baseball and boxing. Known only to recipients, he assisted with tuition
and encouragement for many local youths, requesting only that they repay by
helping others and contributing to the community."

Jolinda (Smith) Fulton's husband, Paul, had kidney surgery a few days after our reunion. I am sharing her e-mail to keep us informed.

Dear Friends/Family:

Paul came home from the hospital today and is doing well. Don't look for him to be out walking any too soon, but he does appear to be on the mend. Thank you so very much for all your prayers and concern.
