Christian Law Association

Christian Law Association CLA provides free legal assistance to Bible-believing churches and Christians who are experiencing difficulty in practicing their religious faith.

CLA receives phone calls and correspondence from those who are in some way facing legal difficulties for doing what the Bible commands. These cases involve Christians arrested for witnessing to others in public, public school students being told they do not have the right to read their Bibles at school, churches being excluded from communities, Christians being fired for sharing their faith at wor

k, and thousands of other shocking assaults on our precious religious freedoms. CLA provides free legal services based in part on the generosity of God's people. Your contribution to CLA is 501(c)(3) tax deductible.

“Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.”
Proverbs 14:34

Throughout history, nations have risen and fallen, but God’s truth remains unchanged. The strength of a nation is not found in wealth, military, or influence—it is found in righteousness. As we celebrate our nation’s heritage, let us pray that America will honor God and walk in His ways.

We are grateful to report that a church ministry in Nevada has successfully organized and has begun holding regular services. CLA attorneys had the privilege of assisting this pastor with the legal steps involved in establishing and organizing the church ministry. We thank the Lord for guiding each stage of the process and for allowing us to help remove legal obstacles so this ministry could move forward with confidence.
Today, this church is reaching its community with the Gospel and providing a place where believers can worship, grow in their faith, and serve the Lord together.
Please join us in praising God for His faithfulness and for the opportunity to assist churches and ministries as they seek to fulfill the Great Commission.
“…Upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” — Matthew 16:18b

As America marks 250 years of history, we are reminded that some of our nation’s greatest moments have been accompanied by prayer. Throughout times of war, uncertainty, hardship, and national challenge, believers have sought God’s help, wisdom, and direction. While leaders, laws, and institutions have played important roles in our history, our greatest hope has never been found in human strength alone—it has always been found in the Lord.

Today, America still needs prayer.

Pray for our families. Pray for our churches. Pray for our communities. Pray for those who lead our nation. Most of all, pray that hearts would turn to God and that His truth would be honored once again. As we celebrate America’s 250th birthday, let us remember that the future of our nation depends not merely on what happens in government buildings, but on what happens in the hearts of God’s people.

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” — 2 Chronicles 7:14

Throughout America’s history, men and women of conviction have stood firm when it was not easy. The freedoms we enjoy today were preserved by individuals who were willing to speak the truth, defend what was right, and remain faithful to their convictions. As Christians, we are called to demonstrate that same courage—not merely for political freedom, but for the freedom to live, worship, teach, and share the Gospel without fear.
The future of religious liberty will not be secured by comfort, but by courageous believers who stand faithfully for Christ.
“Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid…” Joshua 1:9a

Thinking about adding new services, starting a Christian school, expanding your ministry programs, or increasing the use of your church facilities? Before moving forward, take time to understand how your property is classified under local zoning laws.
Even churches can face restrictions involving:
• Parking requirements
• Occupancy limits
• Traffic flow concerns
• Building usage regulations
Addressing these issues early can help prevent complaints, delays, or enforcement actions later.
For questions about zoning or other legal matters affecting your church or ministry, contact the Christian Law Association. Our attorneys are available to assist churches and ministries free of charge.

On Father’s Day, we thank God for the fathers who have loved, guided, protected, and cared for their families. Yet even the best earthly father is only a reflection of the perfect love of our Heavenly Father.

God knows our weaknesses, understands our struggles, and loves us with unfailing compassion. His mercy never fails, His care never ends, and His love is greater than we can imagine. Today, may we thank God not only for earthly fathers, but also for the blessing of being children of our Heavenly Father.

“The just man walketh in his integrity: his children are blessed after him.”
Proverbs 20:7

The greatest gift a father can give his children is the example of a life lived for God.

A father’s integrity, faithfulness, and love leave a legacy that reaches far beyond his own lifetime. The influence of a godly father shapes hearts, strengthens families, and points the next generation toward Christ.

Today we thank God for fathers, grandfathers, and spiritual leaders who faithfully walk with Him and bless those who follow after them. May their faithful impact point the next generation to Christ.

Happy Father’s Day!

Much of ministry takes place in front of people—preaching, teaching, discipling, and serving. But some of the most important decisions happen behind the scenes. Updating policies. Clarifying leadership roles. Seeking wise counsel before responding to difficult situations. These may not seem like spiritual matters, but they are acts of stewardship that help protect unity, strengthen ministries, and preserve the work God has entrusted to His people.
In our latest article, “Faithfulness in Both Calling and Care,” we explore how careful planning and wise legal stewardship can support and strengthen long-term ministry.
