We have great news to celebrate in Cerro Gordo County. CG Public Health has been awarded $317,344 in state grant funding to support our North Iowa Peer Connect program.

This funding strengthens our ability to walk alongside individuals in recovery, offering dependable guidance, meaningful connection, and community resources that support long-term stability and health. Lasting community health takes collaboration, and strong local partnerships make this work possible.

Tonight, we accepted a proclamation. This was issued by Mayor Lee in recognition of International Overdose Awareness Day. This is for those whose who have been directly impacted by the loss of a loved one. This is for all of those struggling. This is for all in recovery. This is for the family, friends, and loved ones whose lives were cut short. We remember you. We won’t forget your names.
