Wulf is involved in disputes with farmers, lenders, and contractors. Farmers said his predatory business practices “contributed to their strain."

This is what we will never understand about people cheering when benefits get ripped away from struggling families.. especially in light of the recent EBT and Medicaid changes in Iowa.

Your neighbor loses food assistance.
They lose their healthcare.
They start skipping meals and rationing medication.

And you?

Your taxes didn’t drop.
Your rent didn’t get cheaper.
Your groceries still cost a fortune.
Your paycheck didn’t get bigger.
And your insurance premiums probably went up.

You gained absolutely nothing.

Someone poorer than you just suffered more, struggled more.. and somehow you were convinced that was a win.

We met Ryan Peterman for Iowa at the Wing Ding and talked about the importance of voter registration and voter engagement.

He knows what he's talking about.

We don't put anything past the Trump administration to interfere with the November elections, including altering the safety and security of mail in voting.

People in Mason City have been raising the alarm about rezoning and the possibility of a data center coming to our community.

And last night, the Mason City City Council took up the ordinance change needed because of a state law passed last session that made it harder for residents to challenge controversial rezonings.

Our own Representative Christian Hermanson voted for that law.. So we have a pretty simple question for him:

Why?

Why did you vote to take away a tool communities could use to have a say in major development decisions?

People in Mason City are paying attention.. The next City Council meeting is September 15 at 7 PM.

And Election Day is November 3.

Show up.. Pay attention.. Ask questions.

This is our community.. We should have a say in what happens here.

A new whistleblower complaint states Trump is trying to put new restrictions on voting by mail.. and now USPS is rushing to put a system in place to carry it out.

There are already serious concerns about whether the system even works properly. A whistleblower says it hasn’t been properly tested and could cause thousands of ballots to be delayed.

A judge has blocked the plan for now, but the administration is appealing.
