A huge thank you and gratitude for Pastor Jim Bringman (from 1st Baptist Church) for leading The Beacon bible study on Monday evenings 3 out of 4 Mondays for the past several years! Pastor Jim is moving the end of May. These pics are from this weeks Monday bible study and his last time leading study. We will miss him and his wife Linda tremendously. Blessings to them on their journey following the Lord's lead to a position in Illinois.

What a beautiful Mother's Day Brunch we had at The Beacon today! Great turn out, great food, great fellowship! Generous hearts as we raised $808 today from free will donations. Thank you to all those who came and those as well who gave who could not attend and to all those who volunteered! Tours of the building given and people were able to see the transformation which is amazing! We are blessed. Thank you to Warren and Margeret Torkekson for providing Thrivent Community donation which we purchased much of the food and supplies. Thanks to Opal Foods / Eggs Hampton Iowa for egg donations.

Working on 2nd floor where Recovery Housing for 6 women will operate. Goal to be open August. Finishing painting, pulling nails and staples out of the bedrooms as carpet layers coming tomorrow! Exciting! Living room with old original fireplace(non functioning) had to be cleaned out, oh my thank you Kevin! Thanks to Shane and Chris for helping today too.

Thank you to everyone who supported our Applebee's fundraiser event on 4/29. Total sales was $1,309.68, which means we will receive a check for $327.42, which is 25% of total sales. That’s amazing! Thank you all again!
