During the September 11 Mason City Mingle, swing by the Reimagine Mason City Foundation building to try "The Dolly" - a Strawberry-Lemon Shake-up with a little sparkle (edible glitter).

Donations for the drink will go to support the local Mason County Dolly Parton Imagination Library.

Dolly Parton's Imagination Library has been around for over 30 years - and she built it not for her lifetime, but for theirs.

Over 300 million books have been gifted to kids through this program, with recipients beyond just the USA, and the Reimagine Mason City Foundation is a proud partner for this program in Mason County. English, as well as bilingual and braille books are available, as the goal is to inspire a lifelong love of reading for all children. As of earlier this year, 1 in 6 children under the age of 5 in the U.S. receives a book monthly from Dolly, and our board is thrilled to see her legacy continue.

While the Imagination Library covers the overhead costs and negotiates pricing for the books (as well as identifies quality, age-appropriate books for its members) local partners like Reimagine cover the cost of mailing and the wholesale book prices for kids within this area. The entire project is never a cost to the families.
