They say the best way to enjoy the Cape is by boat.

And the past few summers, we've treated military couples to a sunset cruise, complete with live music and a picnic-style dinner, aboard the Albatross in Dennis.

We recently did so once again, giving 17 local couples a chance to experience a beautiful evening out on the water. For the couples, it's always one of their favorite HIT events of the year. This one was capped off by a stunning Cape sunset.

We're fortunate to live in such a beautiful place, and we're grateful to give military couples an opportunity to soak in that beauty.

Since joining our board, John Norton has taken meaningful steps to use his time and talents to strengthen our work.

This week, he continued those efforts when he taught a class at Clark-Haddad Post 188 American Legion on grilling techniques and recipes to a group of service members and veterans. We're grateful to John for all he does for HIT, and for sharing his knowledge and passion for cooking to those we serve!

Forty-one runners have been training for months, all in preparation for today's Falmouth Road Race.

They've also been raising funds and awareness to our programs which assist over 2,300 individuals — service members, veterans, military spouses, and children of military families — through programs which build community, strengthen relationships, serve as a pathway to healing, and empower those we serve to find their purpose.
