Yesterday, we concluded our first Equine Warrior Weekend of the fall.

It was a day full of laughs, connection, and joy for the four veterans and service members who spent two and a half days caring for and riding horses at Alliance Equestrian Center, LLC. The weekend also gave them a chance to bond with one another.

We're grateful to be able to give those we serve special moments like these which allow them to experience a relaxing weekend with one another in an inspiring setting.

Thinking about getting back into a fitness routine? Or maybe just looking to try something different?

Our fall FIRM (Fitness In Real Motion) program is open to veterans, service members, and military spouses of all fitness levels.

Over nine free sessions at Millennium Fitness in Lakeville, you'll explore strength training, mobility, mindfulness, and even cold plunge recovery. Plus, you'll have access to a personal trainer, 24/7 gym access, and the opportunity to connect with others in the military community.

A group of four veterans and service members spent today learning the basics of caring for, bonding with, and riding horses at Alliance Equestrian Center, LLC.

It's all part of our Equine Warrior Weekend which gives individuals who are serving and who have served our country the opportunity to experience the therapeutic nature of horses in a relaxing setting.

The smiles and laughs on the faces of the four who are spending the weekend at Camp Lyndon and Alliance Equestrian Center said it all.

This week, our Board and staff had the opportunity to attend a joint meeting of four American Culinary Federation chapters from across New England, including the American Culinary Federation Of Cape Cod, at The Chefs' Warehouse in New Bedford.

Both the American Culinary Federation Of Cape Cod and The Chefs' Warehouse have become wonderful partners with Heroes In Transition, supporting our work and understanding the importance of giving back to our local service members, veterans, and military families.

One of the themes that came out of this week's meeting was the power of community. It was inspiring to witness that community in action at this week's meeting.

A special thanks to our Board Member John Norton who serves as the President of the American Culinary Federation Of Cape Cod and who has been instrumental in helping us develop a strong relationship with the federation.
