Freedom House Haiti

Freedom House Haiti Freedom House is a children's home in Cap Haitian, Haiti that was opened in Summer 2014. Usually these kids are between the ages of 4-15.

Most of the children at the Freedom House were restaveks, or in extremely poor conditions. A restavek is a child that has been given to another family as a servant in hopes to have their basic needs met. They do all the household chores, cooking, cleaning, washing and fetching water. They are often abused and most likely do not go to school. We can’t change the fact that this still happens in Hait

i but we can change the lives and futures of our kids. These kids now have FREEDOM everyday and NEVER have to worry about where their next meal will come from or shoes for their feet. We want to give these kids a lifetime of Love, Hope and Freedom to be the change for Haiti’s future.

A Milestone Worth Celebrating! 🎓✨

Today, we are celebrating something very special.

Rose Kaline is the very first student from Freedom House to graduate from a trade school program, and we could not be more proud of her! What began as a dream for a young girl in Haiti has become a reality through hard work, determination, and the opportunities made possible by so many who have supported our mission.

At Freedom House, our goal has always been bigger than simply providing a safe home. We want to equip young people with the skills, education, and confidence they need to build independent, successful lives. Rose is living proof that this vision works.

Watching her walk across that stage reminds us why we do what we do. Her graduation represents hope, perseverance, and the beginning of a bright future filled with opportunity. She has worked incredibly hard to reach this moment, and we are honored to have walked alongside her on this journey.

Rose, congratulations! We are so proud of the young woman you have become and excited to see all that lies ahead. Your success is inspiring the next generation of Freedom House students to dream bigger and work harder toward their own futures.

❤️ Thank you to everyone who has supported Freedom House. Because of your generosity, stories like Rose’s are possible.

✨ PROM WITH PURPOSE ✨

For the past few years, our older Freedom House youth have had the incredible opportunity to attend a local prom in Haiti — and it has become one of the most meaningful nights of the year for them.

For many of these young people, this is more than just dressing up and dancing. It’s a night where they feel celebrated, included, confident, and hopeful about their future. A chance to simply be teenagers. ❤️

This year, we are hoping to send:
• 8 youth
• 2 adult staff members/chaperones

The cost of $15 each covers tickets, transportation, meals, and helping the kids feel special for the evening.

Would you consider sponsoring one of our youth for prom this year? No gift is too small, and together we can give them a night they will never forget. ✨

This is Sonson. The fixer of all things drivable at the Freedom House. From keeping our trucks running to making repairs however he can, he works tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure our kids get where they need to go safely.

Sonson has been with us for many years — even coming with us when we evacuated Port-au-Prince. His loyalty, hard work, and love for our children mean more than words can say. We are incredibly grateful for him.

Right now, our vehicles desperately need repairs and replacement parts before school starts back up. The roads in Haiti are extremely hard on our trucks, and without reliable transportation it affects everything — school, medical appointments, supplies, and daily life for our kids.

If you would like to help us keep our vehicles running this summer, we would be so thankful for your support. Every donation truly helps. ❤️

Four of our Freedom House youth are standing right at the edge of something incredible—independence.

Lina, Diefene, Diekris, and Kendy have worked so hard to get here. They are growing, learning, and preparing for their next step into adulthood. But they can’t do it alone.

As they transition, their needs shift—from full care to support with education, trade training, housing, and basic essentials. This is the most critical season of their journey… and also the easiest place for them to fall through the cracks without consistent support.

We are looking for sponsors to walk alongside them as they take this next step.

Your sponsorship helps provide:
• Trade school tuition & tools
• Housing support
• Food & daily essentials
• Continued guidance and stability

This isn’t just support—it’s an investment in their future.

If you’ve ever thought about sponsoring… this is the moment.

This is what hope looks like 🤍

At Freedom House Haiti, our kids aren’t just going to school—they’re preparing for real futures.

From classrooms to trade programs, they’re learning skills that will lead to independence. But we can’t get them there without consistent support.

We’re looking for monthly sponsors to help provide:
✨ Education & trade school training
✨ Tools & resources to learn a skill
✨ A safe, stable place to grow

This is how we break the cycle—one life at a time.

These girls. This is why we do what we do.

Every day at the Freedom House, our kids are showing up, working hard, and building a future that once felt out of reach. From school to trade programs, they are growing into strong, capable young men and women.

But right now, we have a gap in our monthly funding—and we need your help.

We are looking for sponsors to come alongside our youth and help provide:
• Education & trade school opportunities
• Food & daily care
• A safe, stable home
• The support they need to transition into independence

Sponsorship isn’t just giving—it’s investing in a life, a future, and a story that is still being written.

Would you consider becoming a monthly sponsor?

Your support makes it possible for these kids to keep going, keep learning, and keep dreaming.
