Tonight the MHS Octagon Club and the Maryville Optimist Club held it's yearly Angel Tree Shopping for others. What a great night of shopping, then wrapping gifts and eating pizza. Thank you MHS Teacher Heather Stoecklein for all the years of running our high school club.

Tonight's program for the Maryville Optimist Club was Captain Austin Hann of the Nodaway County Sheriff's Office. Austin will be the next Sheriff for Nodaway County. He explained to the group all about what the Sheriff's Department does for our community. Thanks Austin for a great program.

Today we held our Maryville Optimist Club Fishing Contest at Mozingo Lake City Boat Ramp. We had 68 kids and alot of parents and grandparents helping them. We want to thank Mozingo Lake Staff for furnishing all the worms for the event and Koolkats for keeping our people refreshed. More pictures to come.

Last night the Optimist Club of Maryville held it's Annual meeting. Our guest Speaker for the evening was Stacey Calfee with Northwest Missouri Upward Bound Program. Instead of our normal meeting inside we enjoyed a great time having a picnic at Judah Park.
