The White Clay Recovery Initiative
Restoring Lives. Strengthening Families. Transforming Generations.
The White Clay Recovery Initiative is a mission of Exodus Ministries to establish a Christ-centered Recovery and Discipleship Center in White Clay, Nebraska, serving Native American communities—including those on and around the Pine Ridge Reservation—as well as individuals and families throughout the surrounding region.
For generations, White Clay has been a place associated with addiction, alcoholism, poverty, broken families, and tremendous loss. But we believe White Clay’s past does not have to determine its future.
We believe God is writing a different story.
The White Clay Recovery Initiative is about establishing a place where people struggling with addiction and brokenness can encounter Jesus Christ, experience freedom, rebuild their lives, and discover their God-given identity and purpose.
This is more than helping someone get sober.
Recovery is the beginning. Restoration is the goal. Discipleship is the foundation.
Our vision is to create an environment where individuals can receive spiritual discipleship, recovery support, practical life skills, healthy community, mentorship, leadership development, and the tools necessary to build a new way of life.
We don’t simply want to see people come out of addiction. We want to see sons and daughters restored, families reunited, leaders raised up, and cycles of addiction and brokenness interrupted for generations.
Our heart is to serve Native American communities with honor, humility, and respect. We are not coming to White Clay believing we have all the answers. We are coming to serve, build relationships, partner with others who are already laboring in the region, and make the hope and freedom found in Jesus Christ available to those who desire it.
We believe the very place that became known for destruction can become known for restoration.
Where addiction once took lives, we want to see lives restored.
Where families have experienced loss, we want to see reconciliation.
Where hopelessness has existed, we want to establish hope.
Where generations have experienced bo***ge, we want to see a generation walk in freedom.
And ultimately, we want those who have experienced restoration to become people who carry restoration back into their own families and communities.
That is the heart of the White Clay Recovery Initiative.
This isn’t simply about opening a recovery center.
It’s about establishing a place of hope.
It’s about restoring people to purpose.
It’s about strengthening families.
It’s about transforming generations.
We believe White Clay can become known for something different.
From a place associated with addiction to a place known for freedom.
From brokenness to restoration.
From death to life.
This is the vision.
This is the mission.
