A new chapter in emergency care is taking shape at Anderson Hospital. Opening in 2027, the new Emergency Department will proudly bear the name of Ralph Korte in recognition of his lasting contributions to Anderson Hospital and the Metro East community. With the support of The Korte Company and the blessing of the Korte family, the Ralph Korte Emergency Department will carry his legacy forward while helping Anderson provide exceptional emergency care for generations to come. Meet Anderson Hospital Foundation Board Member Dr. Max Eakin! Born and raised in Southeast Missouri, Dr. Eakin was a family practice physician for 48 years, was a Founder Award recipient at Anderson Hospital in 2010 and has served on the Anderson Hospital Board for 19 years and on the Foundation Board for 13 years. Through his service on the Foundation Board, Dr. Eakin helps support initiatives that strengthen health care throughout our community. We are grateful for his time, leadership, and commitment to giving back!
