I am sometimes asked about my plans or my vision for the club. And often, I have to say I dont have an answer.
The mission has never changed. I wanted to build a club that was intently focused on attracting individuals that shared the same core values. Where the whole is greater than the sum of it's parts. Where our individual worth and capacity for greatness is fostered and multiplied. Where we can express our Wilde nature and have it embraced and encouraged.
Part of that mission means this club, the vision, the plan - cannot be mine alone. It was never about that. Success or failure cannot be hinged on a single person. That is directly contrary to what we stand for.
So, after three years of building and leading this organization, it's time to pass the torch. It's a sign of a health when leadership changes, evolves, and grows from contributions from every single individual.
It's bittersweet but I am so proud and excited to announce that Harmony will be taking over driving the mission as President. As the Founder, I will be here to support, guide, and encourage. I hope in doing so we set the example for future generations of members. Leadership doesn't mean staying in one place forever, but rather ensuring you can be replaced. I have always said if I do my job correctly this club can run without me.
I have every confidence that Harmony is the right person to succeed me. She is steadfast, loyal, intelligent, empathetic, and reflective. She will carry on what I have started and make this position her own.
