GOAL: SPONSOR 1800 WREATHS BY JANAURY 17th

It is unfortunate this promo runs right after Wreath Day each year. So many people have just sponsored a wreath and we are in high holiday season, but this is their promo and all we can do is get the word out and hope for the best.

If you are reading this and can share this post it would help widen our audience and increase our chances of placing a wreath on every veterans grave in the Sutter Cemetery District (Yuba City, Meridian, Noyesburg, and Sutter)

Wreaths Across America will match wreaths sponsored through January 17th. The easiest way to sponsor a wreath and get credit is to sponsor online at on our page at wreathsacrossamerica.org/ca0179

If you sponsor one wreath, WAA will match that and the cemetery will receive two wreaths. If you sponsor two wreaths, WAA will match that and our group's buy two and the cemetery receives the 3rd one free kicks in, so two wreaths sponsored equal 5 wreaths for the cemetery.

If 1800 wreaths are sponsored, WAA will match with 1800, and through the third one free we will have another 900, and our goal of 4500 is met.

Checks can be mailed to the Stand Down office at 604 D Street, Marysville, CA 95901. Due to processing times your checks should be received by the Stand Down office by January 15th to receive the match- but preferred method is to sponsor online on our page : wreathsacrossamerica.org/ca0179

If you sponsor at the the main WAA site, instead of on our page, in order for the buy two get the third one free you must enter our group information (CA0179). If not entered your wreaths won't count towards the third one free, so please use our link, and your wreaths will automatically count towards that.

Wreaths Across America is running a matching funds promotion through January 16th. Any funds submitted under our group will be matched, meaning we can cover twice as many graves with those sponsorships, and it offers a great chance to finally cover all the veterans at Sutter Cemetery.
There is QR Code in the flyer below, it will take you to our page where you can sponsor online or, you can click on this link www.WreathsAcrossAmerica.org/CA0179 to be taken to our page.
Wreaths are $17 each. Due to the staffing, the cemetery no longer accepts grave specific requests, but anyone who attends the ceremony can place their own wreaths. (If we cover them all, then the need for grave specific requests goes away)
Checks must be dated between 12/16/23 - 01/16/24 or donate online, which is faster and the wreaths are credited to our group immediately.
We hear the requests for Sierra View to participate again. It is not up to us, but rather the cemetery's newest owners have so far chosen to not participate.

Tomorrow is Wreath Day, and many cemeteries in Sutter, Yuba, and surrounding counties participate. Stand Down coordinates Sutter Cemetery District, and our 3 ceremonies start at 9:00 AM (at Meridian, Sutter, and Yuba City cemeteries.)

We are very appreciative for the Yuba Sutter community's support in sponsoring 3600 wreaths for these three cemeteries, and hundreds more at other cemeteries in our community.

We hope you will take time to attend a ceremony tomorrow. There are many civic groups and volunteers who make this happen each year so we as a community can honor our veterans with a wreath each year. This is the 7th year we have had Yuba Sutter cemeteries participating in the Wreaths Across America program.

Wreaths Across America is holding a promotion starting tomorrow, where they will match donations for sponsorships/checks dated from 12/16 through 1/16. We will post separately with more details.

The Matthew Axelson Division US Naval Sea Cadets assisted at the Meridian Cemetery today with Color Guard and Ceremonial Wreaths. They were great and their families should be very proud.
