There's a moment in every recovery journey when we realize the baggage we're dealing with is simply to heavy for one pair of hands.

But reaching that point doesn't indicate failure--it's actually a turning point! That's when we realize we don't need to muscle our way through the hard stuff just to prove we're tough... or resilient.

Real strength is having the humility to look at our mess and say, "I can't life this alone." And the second we voice our need, we open the door for God's grace to step into our lives and help carry the load.

"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." -- 2 Corinthians 12:9

Principle #6 in Celebrate Recovery asks us to do some incredibly heavy lifting. Forgiving those who've hurt us? Owning up to the pain we've caused others? Oof.

In our own strength, this kind of "relational repair" seems impossible. BUT GOD.

Thanks to His grace, we don't have to manufacture that kind of super-human strength on our own. We can learn to extend forgiveness and make things right because WE have already been given a grace we didn't earn. And when making amends feels absolutely overwhelming, we can rest in the fact that God is able to do what we can't do by ourselves.

Growth rarely happens when everything is perfect. And yet we spend a lot of energy trying to pave over our past and hide the cracks, hoping everyone will think we have it all together.

In recovery, we learn that it's actually in our broken places that real healing finally takes root. God's grace doesn't wait for us to fix ourselves first--He meets us exactly where we are, right in the middle of our weakness.

If you're tired of pretending everything's fine and could use a touch of grace, there is a safe place for you at Celebrate Recovery Wednesday nights!

Stories, play, and healthy friendships are what Celebration Station is all about! While adults focus on healing and community at Celebrate Recovery at The Well, kids from newborn thru 6th grade get a space tailored jsut for them to explore their feelings and discover God's love!

We also teach "precovery" using CR principles, helping kids recognize choices, habits, and patterns early so they can build a strong, healthy future. We believe every child matters, and you know us--we LOVE to celebrate every step of growth we make as individuals and as a CR family!

Kids check-in opens Wednesday nights at 6:15pm. Check-out is at 7:30 (after our large group gathering) or 8:30pm (after Open Share).

Thanks to The Hope Center - Marysville, Ohio, we're able to provide dinner for our CR family on Wednesday nights from 5:45-6:15pm.

What we need, however, are some extra hands to help out with the cleanup afterward! If you'd be able/willing to serve in this capacity, please sign up for a shift at thewellnaz.org/CRserve or reach out to Pastor Josh to join our once-a-month rotation!

When we talk about forgiveness, the starting line is always the cross.

Sometimes it's difficult to forigve others, and sometimes it's even harder to forgive ourselves. But because of what Jesus did, we don't have to carry the weight of our past anymore--our sins were canceled.

His grace is sufficient. The work is finished. And you are entirely forgiven. Hallelujah--what a Savior!

Forgiveness flows in three directions. From God to us, from us toward ourselves, and from us toward others. But it's that first one that's incredibly important, for it's out of His forgiveness of us that we're able to tackle the rest.

Remember: No matter how unloved or worthless you may feel, God loves you. And no matter how badly we may have hurt others (or ourselves), His grace is always sufficient.

"... Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow..." Isaiah 1:18 And we think that is cause for celebration. JOIN US TOMORROW (May 20) for CR!

Habits tend to be unhealthy patterns that often start as a perceived โ€œremedyโ€ for a problem in your life, but turn into a chronic bad behavior or addiction. Habits are the repeat, default scripts you run to โ€œwhen the going gets toughโ€ and lead to trouble in your life.

Some common habits are abusive behavior, alcohol, bitterness, drugs, disordered eating, gambling, gossip, isolation, lying, po*******hy, spending problems, self-harm, sexual integrity, and workaholism.

Habits can be hard to break... but you don't have to work at it alone! Join us on Wednesdays, and we'll celebrate recovery together!
