It can be easy to think, "I'm still working on my own stuff--I'm not qualified to serve yet." And we've all been there, thought that.

But Celebrate Recovery has never been about perfect people helping broken people. It's about a forever family working together!

Maybe it's just smiling at the door. Or serving a cup of coffee. These small acts make a big difference, and the only requirement you need to fulfill is that of a willing heart.

When we reach a crossroads in our recovery journey, the temptation is to stay where it's safe. We've done the hard work--why not hang out on the shore for a while?

But freedom isn't found in just maintaining our past victories. It's found when we step out into the unknown and let God take us into deeper waters.

"Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders" is a brave prayer, reflecting a daily decision to keep moving forward and growing, even when the next steps seem overwhelming.

So if you're standing at a junction today, wondering if you should keep going... step out. The water is deep, but you are not alone.

Taking an honest look at our lives every single day can feel daunting. It's scary to bring our mistakes into the light!

Every victory over our personal hurts, hang-ups, and habits is a milestone worth celebrating! Come see the life-changing work God is doing in our community at CR on Wednesday nights!

"Hang-ups" are the road blocks that keep you from progressing further in God’s plan for your life. They’re often shaped by something you were taught or believed as a child, or an unhealthy attitude you may have adopted as a means of coping with life’s challenges.

Hurts often lead to hang-ups, which can lead to habits. But the good news is, there's a way to break the cycle! And you don't have to do it alone!

Join us for Celebrate Recovery, Wednesday nights!

Recovery isn't about setting up camp once you've survived the hardest parts of a long hike. Instead, it's a daily decision to keep on climbing!

When we take time to honestly examine our lives, we bring our victories AND our struggles into the light. It takes a whole lotta courage to admit when we miss the mark, but that daily honesty is exactly what keeps us moving forward vs slipping backward.

So don't settle for maintenance, stop, and rest. CHOOSE momentum! That's where your new life really takes off.

Big life changes don't happen all at once--they happen in our daily decisions. That's why reserving time every single day for self-examination and prayer isn't just a checklist item, it's the fuel that keeps us moving forward on the road to recovery.

Taking an honest inventory of our lives keeps our struggles in the light and gives us the power we need to follow God's will and keep our momentum going.

Grab a journal or utilize your favorite note-taking app on your phone and take five minutes to evaluate your day. What is one victory you can thank God for today? Or one area where you need His grace?

"I don't have AN issue. I've got thousands of issues."

Author and speaker Carlos Whittaker recently shared this powerful reminder, and it hits right at the heart of what Celebrate Recovery is all about.

Sometimes we convince ourselves that our struggles aren't "big enough" for recovery. But whether you're medicating with drinking, with chaos, with shopping, work, eating, judging--you name it--or you're simply trying to hold it all together, there's room at the table at CR for you.

We ALL have something we use to cope when life gets hard. And if we stop long enough to name it, we can start to heal.

If you're ready to get honest, we'll see you tonight (6/10)!

Good news, folks--God isn't standing back waiting for us to get it together. His grace actually goes before us, providing the exact strength we need to heal what we could never fix on our own!

"Whatever comes our way, God be lifted high! [His] love will never fail, we will testify! Everywhere we go... [His] grace is on our side!"
