The CPI inflation report came out this week lower than expected and the markets rejoiced!
The rest of the week was less favorable and we gave back many of the gains we had in that one day but as you can see from the numbers we still ended the week in a better position than we were in last Friday.

Only 26! It's really hard to believe that over the last seven days the Snohomish County real estate market saw only 26 price reductions. This is a tell-tale sign that things are going very well for home sellers. As a matter of fact, many home buyers are confused by the thought that they have to compete for a home in a multiple offer scenario and increase their offering price which means paying over listing price. The home buyers that thought they would wait until home prices drop and mortgage rates go down are finding out the hard way that was not a winning strategy. The issue with the current housing market is the challenge with inventory. Home sellers are having a field day as home buyers are scraping to get the best priced homes. Last week real estate brokers in Snohomish County turned in 233 pending sales, posted only 129 new listings and completed just 26 price reductions.
